Introduction

Wasim Akram was born on June 3, 1966, in Pakistan. He is a Pakistani cricket commentator, coach and former captain of Pakistan national cricket team. Also known as one of the greatest fast bowler in the history of cricket. He was awarded the tag of “The Sultan of Swing” in October 2013, Because of Wasim Akram Massive Records. Early Life

Wasim Akram was born to a Jat Punjabi family in Lahore. Later at the age of 30, Wasim Akram was diagnosed with diabetes. Wasim marries to Huma Mufti in 1995 and had 2 sons from their 14 years of marriage. Huma died of organ failure on 25 October 2009.

Wasim Akram married Shaniera (an Australian woman) on 12 August 2013, saying he has started a new life on a happy note. He moved from Lahore to Karachi with his wife and children on 3 September 2014. On 27 December 2014 Shaniera gave birth to a baby girl, Aiyla Sabeen Rose Akram, in Melbourne.

ODI

Wasim Akram started his One Day International career in Pakistan against New Zealand in 1984, under the captaincy of Zaheer Abbas. He gains fame after taking five wickets against Australia in his 3rd ODI in 1985 Benson & Hedges World Championship. Currently Wasim is the leading wicket taker for Pakistan in ODI.
